Perfect Life in a Nice Cuppa

Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed yesterday's post. I love bible journaling, and always a little nervous to share those creations since they are so personal. But, of course, everyone was so kind! So let's move on to today's project, a fun card with the A Nice Cuppa stamp set.

My initial start for this card was the color palette, Night of Navy & Mint Macaron. From there, everything else fell into place. When you have a beautiful color combo the inspiration always seems to flow a bit easier! I love how everything came together, and that I got to use quite a few retiring products. I'm so sad to see all of these go, especially the Gold Baker's Twine & Gold Fancy Designer Vellum. Those are probably the two products I'm most heart broken about. I'll be over here hoarding my stash of that gold goodness!
So anyway, let's talk about how I created that cuppa.  If you noticed the stamp images above, you can see that the stacked tea cups read "there's always time for tea". I wasn't really feeling that wording for a card, so I created something else.
Perfect Life Stacked Cuppa
1) Stamped the stacked cup image in Night of Navy on Watercolor Paper
2) Used an Aqua Painter & additional Night of Navy ink to smear and color in the "time for tea" wording
3) Dry with Heat Tool
4) Stamped a new sentiment from the Perfect Pennants set with Versamark
5) Heat Emboss with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder
6) Fussy cut the stacked tea cups out with Paper Snips

Pretty easy to create a new image! Unfortunately, the framelits that coordinate with this set didn't come with something to cut out the stacked cups, so the fussy cutting is necessary. And even worse, those framelits have already sold out! BUT you can still get this fab A Nice Cuppa stamp set.
I accented my card with lots of pretties, including a Gold Fancy Foil Vellum oval to really make those tea cups pop, as well as cute tea bags to bring the cups to life. I topped the card off with some embellishing in the top right using the Banner Punch (ok, super devastated about that retiring as well!) and all the colors from the cards color combo. The twine bow and gold sequins tied everything together perfectly! I hope you loved the card. Be sure to check out the supply list below, and don't forget about my special this month. :)
