Watercolored Embellished Ornaments

Hey there all! I have a beautiful Christmas card to share with you today featuring the new Embellished Ornaments Bundle from the Holiday Catalog. I paired it with a little watercolor fun, casing it from page 15 of the catalog. I love how it took on a life of it's own, and turned out beautifully.

For the card background, I ink my leaves stamp, swiped my wet Aqua Painter brush across it, and stamped. It created a lovely, watery look. I added splatter with my Stampin' Write Marker. My ornament is first done with a watercolor wash of Pacific Point on Watercolor Paper, then cut from the framelits. I added the embellished ornament cut with the new Precision Plate (add it to your wish list!) in Silver Foil Sheets. The silver and Pacific Point compliment each other SO well! I think the bright blue really pops under the silver. I added a little Silver Cording for embellishment, then top off my card with a sentiment from the same stamp set. I'm smitten how it turned out, and truly love the color combo! I would, however, change the card base and sentiment color to Smoky Slate or even perhaps Real Red! But I still think it looks great! Thank you so much for stopping by today. You can find everything you need to create your own version of this card in my online store. Be sure to check out the Weekly Deals and Clearance Rack for some great steals! Happy Stampin'!
