Hi there! I hope you enjoyed yesterday's projects and video. I'm excited about Halloween coming up, but I'm still cranking out the Christmas projects! So today, I wanted to share a couple made with the Reason for the Season Photopolymer Stamp Set. The card is a case from Convention, and the wood block is a genius idea from Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Member, Krista Frattin.
The gorgeous background is created with Dazzling Diamonds! I used the striped background mask and a sponge (I should've used a Sponge Dauber⌐next time!) to create the subtle, sparkly background. So elegant! I can't wait to try this technique more! The Reason for the Season set is one of my favorites this year. I love that is has a watercolor look, really elegant for the Christmas season or even anytime of year!
This fun wood block photo holder is seriously SOO easy to make! I used some scrap 2x8 lumber that we had lying around, had my husband cut it to size (about 8" tall), sanded it a bit, then got to work! But all that was the hardest part. The rest took literally less than 5 minutes! I used Classic Ink (along with Momento Ink in Black) and stamped directly onto the wood. The wood takes the ink SOO beautifully! I decorated it a bit with some ribbon, doily, and stamping, and viola! These would make such great gifts to hold a special Christmas photo, or even for anytime of year. So fun! Amazing idea, Krista!
Thank you all so much for stopping by today. I'm so excited to share a new project with you tomorrow, you're going to love it! For now, I'm off to Painting with a Twist⌐yippee!!
