Happy Hump Day to you! I've had a crazy busy week, and the rest is looking just as crazy. But we are officially halfway through the week, so I think we are going to make it! I'm excited you're back today. I have a really fun Halloween card to share with you. It's another idea from Stampin' Up! Convention last month, except I made a card, rather than the polka dot bag that was demonstrated. This is really a simple card to create, but oh my goodness is it caaaaa-ute!!!
I used stencils, Versamark, and heat embossing to create my candy corn background. Would you believe I don't even like candy corn (honestly, who does!!)?? But I love this candy corn card!! So, I heat embossed those stenciled polka dots with clear embossing powder, then used the emboss resist technique to sponge over them with Crushed Curry and Tangelo Twist to create the candy corn look. Simply wipe off the excess ink from the embossed areas, and you're set!
The rest of the card is done with a few sneak peeks from the new Holiday Catalog that will be here TUESDAY!! Yippee!!! If you need a copy, contact me and I'll get you fixed right up. Anyhow, let's talk about that spider web!! Oh my spidey goodness! Those are the brand new Spider Web Doilies, and they are GORGE!! They come 24 to a pack for only $4.50! Such a steal! Those gorgeous stamped images are from the new Howl-o-ween Treat Stamp Set, and cut from, drum roll......, the coordinating framelits!!!!!!!!!! Even that little spider has a matching framelit! Thank you Stampin' Up!
Stampin' Up! has definitely pulled out all of the stops for this year's Holiday Catalog, and I can't wait to share more with you! I'll be back Friday with more on this banner and my upcoming Halloween Stamp Camp! Thank you for stopping by!
