Happy Monday to you. It was an insanely busy day at work for me since I was gone so much last week, but I'm glad to get back to work and back into a routine. I've got big plans of accomplishing a lot this week, and already marked a few things off my to do list yesterday as I was feeling much better. The Holiday Catalog goes live next Tuesday, September 1st, and I can't wait!! I've got an amazing Open House Event planned, and tons of classes on the calendar. I can't wait to dive in! One of my first classes is going to be a Halloween Stamp Camp, and today I wanted to share one of the projects we'll be making at the class, a batty box!
Don't look too closely at my fussy cutting there, but this bat and "boo" is from a new photopolymer stamp set called Cheer All Year that will be available September 1st. It has a fun coordinating kit to go along with it too! My project is a simple pillow box I made with a 4" x 9-1/2" sheet of the new Happy Haunting DSP. I can't wait to get my hands on the new Square Pillow Box Thinlit Die to make creating these much easier (another new product hint!).
I learned this fun trick at convention, bat wings! I created wings for my box with the brand-new-sure-to-be-a-major-hit Black Glimmer Paper! These were super easy to make with the Oval Framelits and 1-3/4" Circle Punch. I'm so excited about that Black Glimmer-it is SO perfect for Halloween creating, and just might look great with Christmas and even Valentine projects too!
I love how this box turned out! We'll be creating 3 of them, along with a couple of other projects at my Halloween Stamp Camp on September 9th. You can find more details about it on my Facebook page or on My Class Schedule. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Hope you enjoyed this Batty Box! :)
