Gold & Aztec Pattern Card

Happy hump day to you! It's been a hectic week around here. I sent my husband off yesterday for a 7 week long training course out of state. The doggies and I are greatly missing him, but I've made myself a long to do list to keep busy! I'm also glad to know I'll be able to visit him in a couple of weeks because of the support from my amazing customers! With your orders from the month of March, I was able to earn enough Stampin' Up! income to purchase a plane ticket to visit him! I'm truly grateful for your support and orders! Stampin' Up! is truly the perfect way for me to earn income for extra things. I'm able to supplement my income, and have room for fun extras! It's great to have the flexibility to push my little business however I like. It's truly a great opportunity for anyone looking to earn extra income or even just to gain friendships and creative time. You can join my team for a $99 investment, and have all this and more too! If you'd like more info simply click the "Join" button at the top. Anyhow, besides a HUGE thanks to my loyal customers, I have an amazing card to share with you today!

I found a similar card on a blog awhile back. It was a photo from Stampin' Up! Leadership inspiration boards earlier this year. There was no artist given, so I have no idea who to offer credit to, but if this layout was yours, please let me know! I'd love to give you credit. Anyway, the original card used a word stamp, but I decided to use my Sophisticated Serifs Set in a way other than monograms and a different color palette.  I picked a word, and lined the stamps on Clear Block H so I only had to stamp once. I used Versamark Ink, and heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. You can see that I slid my stamp a bit, so because not to do that when you are using Versamark. Simply stamp and lift quickly to keep your stamp from slipping and sliding.

I used a TON of ribbons and trims here, and just can't get enough of the gold! Unfortunately, the Calypso Coral Pom Pom Trim is no longer available, but you can easily create pom poms from Baker's Twine or knot ribbon to create a similar look.
My background is from the Stacked With Love Designer Paper Pack. I adore all of the patterns in this pack, but especially love this Aztec-ish print. :) I layered this on top of a Calypso Coral card, ruffling the edges a bit. I added some fun with some BEAUTIFUL gold thread I had and a zig-zag stitch on my sewing machine. From there I layered on a Paper Doily, my sentiment, and all of the trimmings we talked about.

I love how this card turned out! You can find everything you need to create this card and more in my online shop. Find the list of supplies used below. Again, thank you so much for your orders. You bring me so much JOY! :) Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Please bear with me as I tweak places to photograph in my new studio. I know these photos don't have the best lighting, but I'm working on it.
