Happy Thursday! Another week has gotten away from me, and I haven't shared as much as I'd hoped. It's been a super busy three weeks at work, and by the time I get home, my mind is so crazed I forget to post! Things should be slowing down now, and I have so much to share with you in the coming weeks. One of the biggest is my cousin is getting married soon, and I've helps her with several projects, including shower and wedding invitations. So I will be sharing those very soon! I've also got a couple of wedding shower cards I've made for her to share. Today's was for my mom to give to her at her shower this past weekend.
I decided to use her wedding color palette, although her bridal shower colors were completely different. So for this card, I went with Night of Navy, Pink Pirouette, a linen/burlap color, silver, and Whisper White. I cased this card from the big 2014/2015 Catalog.
I didn't have this stamp set, but lucky for me it is a digital download! So, I popped this stamp into My Digital Studio, set my color as Night of Navy, and printed it on Whisper White cardstock. As you can see, I was having a little trouble with my printer, but I still think it looks great!
After I printed my sentiment, I trimmed it down to fit my card, rounded the bottom corners, and added Night of Navy and Pink Pirouette flags. I used a circle punch to create the grooves at the top to tie Linen Thread around. My card base was jazzed up with the Silver Foil Designer Vellum. I used dimensionals to add the sentiment on my card.
I love how simple this card was to make, yet the silver and Linen Thread give it a big pop! I'm definitely going to have to add that stamp set to my collection as well! Thank you for coming by today. Be sure to check back Monday for the details and invitation for this fab bridal shower.
