Celebrate Love Four Feathers Card

Happy Tuesday! We made it through Monday, but I'm ready for the weekend again. I'm looking forward to a weekend with nothing on my schedule and only fun things on my to do list. My cousin is getting married next weekend, so it will be busy enough to last me for awhile. :) I'm very much looking forward to it, especially decorating! As I mentioned yesterday, I created a beautiful card to give to her for her bridal shower. I had SO much fun creating it. I pulled out all the stops for this card, vellum, heat embossing, gold twine, gold paper! This card is definitely over the top, and I LOVE it!

I went with her bridal shower color palette of Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, and gold. You can't go wrong with or ever have too much gold! Along with gold galore, I used several stamp sets for this card, Four Feathers, Endless Wishes, Chalk Lines, and Good Greetings (hostess exclusive set).

This card is jam packed with layers without being too heavy. I think the Deco Label frame really brings an open, airy feel to the card. I think if this was a solid piece of Strawberry Slush, the card would be too heavy. What do you think?

I lined the edge of my card with Designer Series Paper from the Gold Soiree and Lullaby collections. I think those two slivers of gold & Crisp Cantaloupe paper really make the card. I cut out three feathers, one from Gold Designer Vellum in the hearts print, and layered them on Gold Baker's Twine, unraveling the edges a big to really make that gold pop. I added a couple of punched out hearts to my feathers, and tucked the sentiment in behind them. I love how the "love" stamp sat perfectly between my two Chalk Lines stamps, and the gold embossed "celebrate love" is to die for!
I am so happy with how this card turned out, and hope the recipient enjoyed it just as much! I hope you've enjoyed it as well. I'm excited to share another project with you tomorrow, this time all about Halloween! See ya then!
