I have a super simple scrapbook page with a BIG bang to share with you today! It features a color block background with a vellum overlay and super fun recolored Project Life cards. I love the new Love Story Project Life cards that are black and white. They have so much white space, I can easily color them in any color I want with the Stampin' Write Markers. For this page, I used two of the Love Story PL cards that have a simple design with lots of white space. Even though these cards are title "Love Story," you can use them for so many other things.
I love how the background turned out on this page. I started out with a sheet of 12x12 Whisper White, and added strips of Strawberry Slush. I wanted a little more pop, but something to tone down the color blocking at the same time. I took to the Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, popped it right on top, and it was the perfect touch!
In the photo above, you can see that I colored the PL card with a Strawberry Slush Stampin' Write Marker. This card has lots of gray in it to pick up my polka dots from the background. I added a title to the center of the PL with my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and my own handwriting, quick & simple!
The other card is done the same way. I colored in the white space with Strawberry Slush, but this time added a little embellishment. I cut a camera with my Big Shot and On Film Framelits, trimmed it down a bit, and added it to a Whisper White circle. I used the fine tip of the Basic Black marker for simple journaling around the circle, and added it to my PL card with Dimensionals. Lastly, I used a rotary stamp to add the date.
This was really one of the easiest pages ever! The Project Life cards bring so much character to my pages with little effort. I can't wait to see what else I can do with these black and white Love Story cards. You can see a full product list for this project below.
