Awhile back I posted a collage of "selfies" of me making silly faces on Instagram, and I decided to scrapbook that collage. Rarely do I scrapbook photos of just me, but I thought this would be a fun one, because it will portrays me, which a lot of the time is just downright silly & fun! So I decided I needed a layout that was just as fun, and thought why not a camera... Then I thought, why not an Instagram page! So I made my full 12x12 page look like the Instagram icon.
This page was so easy to put together, yet still so fun! I used a Crumb Cake base, accented with Chocolate Chip. My flags are Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, and So Saffron. The circles for the center were cut with my e-cutter so they would be big enough to mat my photo collage on. If you don't have an e-cutter, you can easily use your Circles Framelits with a smaller photo. I added a strip of cardstock stamped with the Tape It stamp set, along with some simple journaling. In the top right corner, I layered a few colors, Basic Black & Coastal Cabana, under a camera cut with the On Film Framelits. The camera was the cherry on top of the pie!
I loved how easy this page was to put together, and that it really makes a statement regarding the time. Instagram & selfies are so now, so why not document it in my scrapbooking! I kept my journaling really simple for this and didn't even add a title, but I think it still really works for this page. Plus, it's hard enough just scrapbook myself, much less journaling about myself! However, let's challenge each other to start documenting more of our stories. We scrapbook to share our stories with future generations, and they want to know about us too! I'll work on that for another post, and maybe we can link up! I want to know more about you too!
See you back tomorrow for a fun fold card!
