Printing on Washi Tape Tutorial + Scrapbook Layout

I am SO excited to share today's project with you! I even have a little tutorial for you. This project features Stampin' Up! Designer Washi Tape, and applying printed text (or small images if you wish) to the washi tape.  This trick is so perfect for scrapbooking, and would even be great for your cards or personalized gifts. For now, I have a special scrapbook layout using this technique, as well as printing journaling directly to Designer Series Paper.

I want to start with the the journaling. This is SUPER simple!
-Typed journaling into a word document
-Cut a sheet of 12x12 DSP to 8-1/2"x11" to fit my printer
-Directly print onto the DSP
-Trim to size.

As you can see, I used a DSP with a light colored, subtle pattern. I think printing on DSP would also work on bolder patterns with bigger, bolder fonts, perhaps for a title! I used the Lullaby DSP, and stamped the What's Your Type Photopolymer Set in coordinating colors for my background.

I used lots of embellishments on this page, with lots of gold! I used several punches and a framelit to make a few delicate pieces for accent, and gussied those up with a few doo-dads, gold foil punched pieces, twine, sequins, buttons, lots of pretty things. :) I added solid gold washi tape to the edges of the photo, and cut my sweet babies name with my e-cutter using Gold Foil Sheets.

Ok, now I know you are anxious to see the washi tape tutorial.. So here it is!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Here is my finished page with the DSP journaling card and printed washi tape. Let me know what you think! You can find a list of supplies to create this page at home below. Everything is available in my online store, where you can shop 24/7. Thank you for stopping by. Check back Monday for a fun watercolor technique. See you then!
