Watercolor Monogram Cards

Remember how I mentioned that the new Work of Art Stamp Set has a watercolor feel to me? Well, today I have a super simple card you can create with that look! You won't need to break out the watercolor paper or any water. All you need is that new set, and some ink & paper! I started out with Whisper White paper for my card base, and stamped a couple of images from the Work of Art set in two different colors in each top corner (stamp off some of the ink on scratch paper to give it a softer look).

Then, all I did was use my Versamarker (you can find this at your local craft store, or you can use any of our alphabet stamp sets) to write a "D" on the card. I doused it in Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, and took the heat tool to it. If you wanted to keep things even simpler, you could simply stamp the letter or use the Gold Stampin' Dazzle Marker to write your monogram.

This took less than 5 minutes to make, and a set of these would be so perfect as a gift! These are easy go to's to send anyone a quick note or thank you. What do you think? Don't you just love the Work of Art set as a watercolor look? I can't get enough! My box is full of cards made with this new set, and I can't wait to create more! Thank you for stopping by. Be sure to let me know what you think! :)
