Boy, one of my favorite new stamp set is the Work of Art set from the new catalog. It is so fresh, fun, and super versatile. I've made tons of cards with the set already, and decided to try my hand at a scrapbook layout using the Work of Art stamp set. I thought that the largest brush stroke stamp would work really great as a large background on a page.
So I began with a sheet of 12x12 Whisper White Cardstock, and stamped the image in Coastal Cabana starting on the outside working my way to the middle creating a circular pattern. I couldn't believe how perfectly it the circle turned out! It's like this image was made just for that! Over the top of that, I spritzed Bermuda Bay & Night of Navy in two of the corners using Stampin' Spritzers & reinker.
Over my circle, I began layering Project Life cards from the Everyday Adventure Collection. I used various sizes, and even cut a couple into two pieces. My square Instagram prints went directly over that. Did you know you can print 4x4 Instagram directly from your phone using the Walgreen's App? I love being able to do that! I was going through quite the rigamaroar before trying to get those printed. That app is my new best friend! Anyhow, back to the page. Now, I needed a little something to make my photos really pop, so I added some Strawberry Slush cut with the File Tab Edgelits, and stamped the date using the Remember Rotary stamp in the same color. I accented the date with a Pistachio Pudding arrow from the On Film Framelits pointing towards it.
I also decided to add a little title using a Project Life card. The "Everyday is a new adventure" image is from a Project Life card, and I simply punched it out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch. Next to that, I stamped "love" over the Coastal Cabana using a similar, yet darker color, Bermuda Bay, to make the stamped image really pop! In my spritzed corners, I added a few triangles all cut with the Large Triangle Punch popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I love how this page turned out, and love using the Project Life cards! They are perfect to use as pops of patterned paper and for titles. Have you jumped on the Project Life bandwagon yet!? You really should! :) Below you can find what you need to recreate this page (click to photo & it will take you to my store). You'll also find a link to shop everything 24/7. Be sure to check back tomorrow for another project using the Work of Art Stamp Set! Have a great Thursday!
