Fresh Prints Pennants Chipboard Scrapbook Page

So, I've been talking about scrapbooking lately, and I'm so glad I've come to really enjoy scrapbooking. For awhile it turned into a complete chore, but there are so many ideas, fun products, and well, more accessible photos (i.e. taking {quality} quick pics with a phone) it's hard not to love! Creating today's page meshes all of those aspects together perfectly, fun {Instagram worthy} pics, pretty papers, and golden embellishments! I came across a fun digital layout on Pinterest, and used it for my inspiration for a traditional page. You can find several of my inspiration boards here & here. I changed things up a bit, of course, to meet my needs. I started with a chipboard base {yes, chipboard! it makes a fun, neutral base for any page}, stamped a background with the Hardwood Stamp, and distressed a couple of the edges by applying White Stazon Ink directly to the chipboard.

Next, I created some pop on the page with pennants. I knew I wanted all of my pennants to be a different pattern, so the Fresh Prints Designer Paper Pack was perfect for that since it includes TONS of patterns! I used the smallest pennant on the Perfect Pennants Bigz Die, and cut 4 at a time with the Big Shot {hurry & get your Perfect Pennants Die-it's retiring & only available while supplies last!}.

I used the butterfly punches & On Film Framelits to add a little embellishment to the page. I used Champagne Glimmer Paper for the butterflies, and Gold Foil Paper & Coastal Cabana Cardstock for the arrows. I love the way the gold catches the light, and it pairs great with the Baked Brown Sugar in the Fresh Prints DSP.

I didn't do a big title for this page, but stamped on the Watercolor Wonder Washi Tape instead. I used Black Stazon & the Make Note This & That Rotary Stamp for my title, and brought a little more attention to it with a flower. The flower is created with Real Red Cardstock & the 1" Circle punch. I layered several crumpled circle on top of each other, and topped it off with a Vintage Faceted Button strung with Gold Baker's Twine.

I love how the whole page turned out! I think the photos look pretty perfect with the bright & fun DSP too. I love scrapbooking everyday, ordinary moments like a quick trip out to lunch or dinner. Scrapbooking doesn't have to be just "the big stuff," to me it's all worth remembering & documenting! :)
I'm glad you stopped by today, and I hope you enjoyed the page & found a little inspiration. I'm excited for tomorrow too! I have a fun card for a nurse to share! See ya then!
