Just Create Love

It's no secret that I love to create! I enjoy many forms of creativity, and I've been so happy to do a lot more creating in my stamp space the past couple of weeks. I shared this photo on Instagram yesterday of a little slice of my creative space.

I was able to run home for a little while during my lunch hour yesterday, and got to finish up a card {the one you see there}. It felt good to just take a few minutes out of my regular work day to do something fun! I can tell as well in the last couple of weeks that I've been feeling so well, and I contribute a lot of that to being able to spend more time in this space! Creating is what fuels my soul!
Anyway, my most recent creation is, of course, this card.

I found my inspiration on Instagram from a card @jamiepate posted. She is a designer, for another company, so recreating this card with all Stampin' Up! products was a lot of fun!
This card has LOTS of different elements on it. I used vellum, foil paper, design vellum, heat embossing, baker's twine, and the list goes on!

I started with a Coastal Cabana Card based, and stamped it with Positively Chevron using Baked Brown Sugar Ink. I layered several heart over that. I started with a large Pink Pirouette heart from the Hearts Collection Framelits, stamped with Creative Elements, and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  The 2nd heart uses DSP and vellum. I used the Eastern Elegance DSP in a Coastal Cabana Pattern and a piece of Vellum Cardstock, and used to Heart Framelits nested together to cut the opening. I accented these with a double Silver Baker's Twine bow. The last heart is the Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum. I cut several hearts from it, and layered them together. I added a Large Rhinestone Jewel and an arrow cut from the Silver Foil Sheets for an accent.

In this photo, you can get a closer look at the "love." This is one of my favorite parts! I used My Digital Studio, my Silhouette Cameo, and the Moments Ago Stamp Brush Download (it's my favorite, you've seen me use it several times) to cut this out with Modern Medley DSP. I used a Versamarker (you can find one at your local craft store), and traced over the word. I heat embossed over that with Melon Mambo Embossing Powder. I just LOVE how it turned out! :) I love that you can see the DSP peeking through, so it gives it more of a layered look. You'll notice behind the sentiment, a couple of DSP flags. Those are from the Fresh Prints Paper Pack.

I really had a ball creating this card, and love that I got to use so many elements. Can you believe that was my first time opening the Silver Foil Paper & Silver Vellum?!?! Nuts, right! I'll definitely be using it lots more! I hope you enjoyed the card, and be sure to hop over to Instagram to see my inspiration. Check back Monday on how to use My Digital Studio to make your traveling easier!
