Recently, I marked off another item on my 30B430 list. One of the most important to me, and one last year I thought wouldn't happen! George Strait started his last tour last year, the last concert in Texas being on June 1st. Welllll, my sweet cousin was getting married that day, so it was out of the question. I thought I would have to give up on seeing him, but he luckily extended his tour! My wonderful Lovely got us tickets to see him in Austin this past January for Christmas. One of the best Christmas gifts ever!!! Jason Aldean opened up for King George, and it was a wonderful show all around! We had wonderful seats, and, of course, we were in wonderful company with each other! :) Here is the page I created for the concert.
I added videos to my page as well. You can find my tutorial on how to do that here. I used Basic Black, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, and Glimmer Silver as my color palette.
I had a bit of trouble with the page. I got the layout from pinterest, but it looked so plain. It defintely needed more. I scoured my digital embellishments, and came across the recently downloaded Glimmer Kit. Exactly what I needed, some glimmer! I added the Silver Glimmer arrows and banners, but still needed more. Hmmm, how about the stamps from the Glimmer Kit. Ah, perfect!!
I added the heart overlay image to the full page on the left and half the page on the right. To tie in the hearts, I added a few Silver Glimmer hearts to one of our pictures. I love how the page turned out! It is always a treat to come across a stamp or embellishment you forgotten you had, and have it totally make your page! Does this happen to you? it happens to me all the time, even in traditional scrapbooking & card making!
