A Few Holiday Projects

Well, I am a little behind on sharing a few projects I did from the holidays, so I wanted to share how I am organizing the Christmas cards we received & a MDS page from New Year's Eve.
This past Christmas was particularly special for Lovely & I, as it was our first married Christmas. I felt like I wanted to start some new traditions, one being a way to look back on all the wonderful Christmas cards we receive. I wanted to create some sort of way to organize and date each year's cards. I scrambled Pinterest for a few ideas, and ultimately decided to make a book from the cards using chipboard and binder rings from my local office supply store.

I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch my holes, and decorated the cover, being sure to include the year.
I put our card for the year in front, and the others followed. I plan on doing this each year, and having them out to look at each year at Christmas.
We are blessed with so many wonderful family & friends, and the book of beautiful Christmas card displayed will be the perfect reminder!

Also, I wanted to share a fun, on trend page I created for New Year's Eve. My NYE was fairly uneventful, and shared with the perfect little man to steal a midnight kiss on the cheek from (he was long conked out by midnight)! I shared this photo I made using the Rhonna Designs App on NYE, and I wanted to incorporate it into my scrapbook page.
The colors were perfect, and so on trend, black & gold, of course! So I carried out this trend with my layout.
The gold glitter stripes were created by altering a square punch to the size I needed, and photo filled by using the same photo above. I wanted to carry out the same color of gold, as in the photo. I used the Moments Ago MDS download for my title, and added some pizzazz with splatters color matched to the gold and gold sequins from the Sara's Sequins MDS download. I love how this page turned out, and can't wait to design more with My Digital Studio!

Happy stamping,
