It’s been a little while since I last posted, and things have been crazy around here! Lovely has gone back to working nights (which he did the first couple of years of our relationship), so that is taking a bit of getting used to, ok a lot of getting used to! He started last week, and, to be honest, I haven’t done a thing after work with him not here. Yesterday was the first work day I actually came home and accomplished something. It was nice to be lazy for awhile, but it’s time to get on a schedule and routine. That being said, you SHOULD see more of me here. I don’t want to leave you with empty promises, but I am going to offer you my best… So, I am going to try my very best to post here at least a couple of times a week.
And along those blog lines, I’m on a venture to be a better blogger and grow my business, and I am learning many things! I am excited to bring changes here, and to myself along with this growth. You may have noticed a few “snazzies” here already, like my updated header (finally figured out how post a clear, not blurred header, insert jumping up & down here!!!) and a beautiful “About” Page. Be sure to check it out, and let me know what you think.
One more little fun tidbit before I get onto today’s project. SOON, in 4 months to be exact, I’ll be marking #1 off of my 30B430. That’s right! I’m going to New York City!! And not only that, I’m going to New York City at Christmastime! I am BEYOND thrilled!! I booked the trip for my mom and I this past weekend, and I am so giddy! I’m delighted to go on this trip, and MORE delighted to go with my mom! I’ll share more of our plans on that later, for now let’s get to the MDS page!
It’s been a couple of months since it was official, but I graduated! Yep, that’s another 30B430 checked off the list! I’ve finally hung my diploma in my stampey studio/office, and scrapbooked a page of the day I received my diploma in the mail. I skipped out on formal graduation with all that was going on (explosion, wedding, honeymoon), plus it was 9 hours away! Anyway, receiving my diploma was a happy day! Thinking about it now, I still can’t believe it is real! The photos definitely capture my excitement and great sense of accomplishment.
Since the photos Lovely snapped were so fun, I decided to have fun with the layout, instead of a stuffy, “smart, graduated girl” page. J I got my inspiration, ok the whole idea, from Kimberly Van Diepen—she’s amazing with MDS if you haven’t seen her work. The colors and elements of this page are funky and exciting, perfect for documenting this special moment!
What do you think, was I right to go the fun & funky direction for this page?
Be sure to come back tomorrow. I have more 30B430s and scrapbook pages to share with you.
Thank you for stopping by!
