Busy, Busy Time

Good morning! How horrible am I at keeping promises!?! I promised a couple of weeks ago, I would be back on schedule and have projects to share very often, and I have failed you! I apologize dearly, and hope you'll forgive me. :) It has been a crazy busy time, and I have a feeling it is only going to get worse! Bust busy is good, right? It means I have many things to live for! I've been busy with family, work, busy procrastinating homework, wedding details, and more! I wanted to share with you a couple of exciting things I've done in the last couple of weeks.

The weekend before last my brother and two nephews came to visit! We had a wonderful weekend with them, especially since it had been a long time since we had seen them. We had a lot of fun at a local museum, The Maybourn Museum at Baylor University. Braxton really enjoyed seeing everything! He's at a wonderful age of learning & "taking it all in." Carter was a trooper! He was so happy riding along in his stroller, and seeing everything and all the people!
We can't wait for them to come more often now!

This past weekend, I FINALLY took down all of the Christmas decor, and decorated a bit for Valentine's Day. Valentine's isn't something I usually decorate for, but I had a lot of fun with a few new lovey dovey items!

My dear friend Sam had her dad cut & paint the 2x4s to create this Valentine Heart. I simply added the DSP & jewels, and glued the wood together. I think it's so perfect!

Also, my friend Leisha from House of Shep made this beautiful sign for me.
I added the Pool Party Baker's Twine and a lacy heart from the
More Amore Specialty Designer Series Paper.
It turned out perfect!

This weekend Charlie & I also planted our garden!
This is our first garden, and we are excited & nervous!
We have gotten a lot of advice from my dad, and we hope it all turns out!
Growing a garden is on my 30B430, so I am looking forward to crossing that off the list when we have grown some vegetables! We know it will take practice, and it may not turn out as well as we hope our first year, but I think it is something we will continue to do for many years to come.
We truly had a great time doing it together, and I can only imagine how accomplished we will feel once we eat the first pickings! :)

Along with all of that, I have been so busy with homework & wedding projects, ok, really just procrastinating on the homework! I'm the worst! I really have to learn to prioritize, and make this the best semester & last! I am definitely looking forward to graduating in May, but I better get to my homework or that one happen! Be back TOMORROW (for real promise this time) with a fab project!
