Petite Pocket Advent Calendar

I am SOOOO excited for today's project! I've been dying to make an advent calendar for quite sometime now, and I FINALLY got the chance. I was recently shopping at Canton First Monday, and came across a lovely little advent calendar. It was made with something very reminiscent of an old library pocket, and immediately it clicked! I HAD to do an advent with the Petite Pocket Die. Well, I've been working on this for a few days, and just finished it up. I used colors that match our Christmas tree, and they are very nontraditional but so very beautiful together! I used Certainly Celery, Basic Black, Whisper White, Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, and Silver Glimmer. I used lots of pearls and bling, and it looks great in our living room alongside the tree. Anyhow, enough talking! Here is the beauty!

I am so proud of it! I think it turned out beautifully, don't you think? To display it, I used an empty frame, and Charlie & I ran wire across it. Then I just hung the pocket flag over the wire then tied the pocket shut. The top row is a bit wonky since it has 7 days, rather than 6, but after Saturday it will be taken off and look normal.
I haven't yet decided on what to put inside each pocket. Perhaps a bible verse on the story of Jesus' birth, or different Christmas activities to do each day. I'm sure I'll come up with something by Saturday! Happy Christmastime!
