Camping

What an adventurous past week it has been! Over the weekend with went camping with my mom, dad & brother. We had a blast! The cool weather, which began to hit about 8 o'clock Friday night, was amazing! It was actually so cold Saturday & Sunday that I put on layers & layers of clothes, sat close to the fire we had going all day, and was still cold! But I'm not complaining, I'd rather be cold than sweating! Summertime camping definitely would not be for me! It was the first time I had been camping since I was a little girl, and I can't wait to do it again. We did fun things like drink hot chocolate by the fire, eat smore's for a mid-morning snack (hehe), snuggle the pups, and the boys went fishing/boat riding.

Smore's for a mid-morning & late night snack!

I was also silly enough to bring along alllll of my stamping stuff (ok, not all, but just about), and mom brought her jewelry making supplies & beads. Saturday we set up a table in mine & Charlie's tent and went to work! It was really a lot of fun, and I plan on doing it again! :) Saturday was also World Card Making Day, so what better way to celebrate than by making cards, in a tent, by the lake! Ha!

Me at our table sent up in the tent

We also had some little visitors at our camp. They were so cute & friendly! We fed them several times, and of course they kept coming back!

It was a really great weekend with family & Charlie, and I can't wait to go back. We are already planning our next trip!

This week, I started Camp Gladiator as well, a boot camp style workout. I went for the first time Monday, and I am a lot more out of shape than I realized! I have a long way to go to get to where I need to be, but I'd say I'm off to a great start. The camp was very challenging, and even though it's been two days since I went I am still extremely sore! However, I'm looking forward to going again, and continuing in a good direction towards getting fit, again!

Me, exhausted, after Camp Gladiator.
