An Owl & A Cat

I am SO excited about today's projects! I got inspiration for this card on Pinterest. Here's how mine turned out.

Isn't that fun! I think it would make a fabulous birthday invitation for a little girl's party.
After I created the owl, I got to thinking I wanted to make a Halloween version. So, I started out making the base of the card, the Wood Grain Embossed "face," the ears, and ruffles. I then had a BRILLIANT idea to turn it into a cat! A cat is frightful for Halloween, right? So here is how my cat turned out!

Isn't it scarey? A Scaredy cat! The tail is created with 2 pieces of ribbon, sticky strip, and floral wire. You simply adhere the floral wire to one of the ribbons with sticky strip, then cover with the 2nd piece of ribbon, and twirl around your finger or a pencil to curl it. Isn't that a clever trick!
Don't you love all of the wonderful techniques you can use with punches and dies to create different things!
