Ribbon Rosettes

I'm so excited to share today's project with you! It is SUCH a quick and simple project. I made these in about 2 minutes! I made these for my new desk, and turned them into magnets. I used the new Jumbo Sticky Rounds from the Holiday Catalog, and retired striped ribbon. With the Jumbo Sticky Rounds it is SOO simple to make rosettes. To make these you simply take a strip of ribbon or fabric, tie a knot in the end, and place this knot in the center of the circle. You will then twist the fabric and turn your circle while pressing down the fabric onto the circle. Once you reach the outside of your circle pull your circle off of the backing, trim your fabric, leaving a bit of excess, and press it onto the bottom of the circle. What I love about these circles is that both sides are sticky! Now, you'll want to place the back of your fabric rosette onto a piece of cardstock. If you use the 2 1/2" Circle punch, it fits the Jumbo Sticky Rounds perfectly. Now, you can add anything to the back of this, magnet, pin, anything!

Here is something else I made using these rosettes. I made a card, and put a magnet behind the cardstock, and put a magnet on the back of the rosette.

So, this is a card & gift all in one! What do you think? Are you sold on the Jumbo Sticky Rounds? You can find them here.
