Stepped Up

Hello Stampers,
Yesterday, I shared with you the cards we created for June card class. Well, today, I want to share with you those same cards, but "stepped up." This means something is added to the cards to give them more pizzazz! The simplest little embellishment can make a world of difference, and this will prove that to you! I stepped up all of the cards, except for one, because it was already pretty amazing itself. Here are the "new" cards!

For this card, I simply centered the banner, folded a small flap at the top of the banner, and added White Baker's Twine & a Dahlia in Midnight Muse. I am LOVING those new Dahlia embellishments!

This card is even more "simply stepped up" than the last, yet the tiny touches make all the difference.
Instead of just tying the Baker's Twine in a knot, I made it into a tiny bow! Such a difference!
I also added a Pool Party Printed Designer Brad next to the sentiment. I love the look this added!

I haven't decided if I like the stepped up version of this card, or the original better.
I do love the Linen Thread wrapped around the butterfly to make it's body, such a stunning touch!
I also added a Very Vanilla Designer Button, with an Antique Brad layered on top of it.

This card is so simple & beautiful even in it's stepped up form! I love the simplicity of it, and the dramatic changes the added embellishments make!
I rearranged the colors, putting So Saffron on the outside, and changed the stamp set to Layered Labels
I also used a sentiment from the Kindness Matters Set. Rather than having a yellow button, since I rearranged the colors, I put an Early Espresso Designer Button on the Calypso Coral cardstock, and tied a lovely little bow, rather than just a knot with Linen Thread. Lastly, I added an Antique Brad to liven up the Early Espresso cardstock.

The last card has the slightest change, but wow does it change the whole look!
I simply added a Glimmer Brad in Old Olive, popped up the sentiment with Dimensionals
and used a 1" Circle Punch to round one of the corners.

I love how these tiny changes bring such new light to a card!

Can you tell the difference? What is your favorite embellishment to add to step up your projects?
