Christmas Home Tour: Day 1

I'm so excited it's that time of year again! The stockings are hung, there are gifts under the tree & the winter weather is here! Over the weekend I finished up our Christmas decorating. I'd mostly finished the weekend after Thanksgiving, but had one more tree to put up (I have four trees!). There's so much to share I'll be spreading it out of the next few days! So keep checking back everyday for a different room or project!

Today, I'll start with the dining room.

I got this white tree from Charlie last year for Christmas (yes, I asked for a Christmas tree for Christmas...I love Christmas that much!). So the theme in this area is red & white & a bit of green (although it doesn't all match those colors).
A couple of months ago I talked Charlie into moving the top of the hutch out of the dining room (and into the garage) & it has really opened up the space! I'm also glad to have the extra space to decorate & the wall to work with! I have my collection of vintage cookie cutters, vintage kitchen scale, my Nana's cake tray & cookbooks in this space. I moved things out & around to make room for the Christmas decor!
The silver tree is something I had gotten from a dollar store several years ago. I got the red glittery "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" tree from Family Dollar this year for $3!! Doesn't it look so beautiful & expensive! I thought it was so cute! The Partridge in a Pear Tree plate came from Crate & Barrel (and took a lot to get!)! I had to have it!

The framed Christmas tree on the left I made with Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio! It was the simplest thing I've ever made! The tree is one single stamp compiled of words relating to Christmas! You can see more about it later this month on my Loveleigh Stampin' blog!
The last photo is also a group of things I made in My Digital Studio. I put Christmas images in the background, lyrics to Christmas songs over that, printed & framed! So simple & looks great! I may change to different frames, still debating! I'll have more on those on my Loveleigh Stampin' Blog as well!

Ok...ok...I'll get to the part I know you are DYING to hear about! THE OLD WINDOW!! This is by far one of my favorite projects EVER! I got this old window from someone at work for $5!!!!! The vinyls came from Stampin' Up!, and they worked PERFECTLY!!! Truly, the whole idea came from Stampin' Up! (See all the details later this month on my Loveleigh Stampin' blog). But I think it is one of the most beautiful pieces ever!! I'm so in love with it I want to leave it up all year!!

I don't have any pictures of the dining room table, because it really isn't decorated. I can't decide on it!

How is your Christmas decorating & shopping going!?
