Technique Class

At the technique class last month, we created 1 2 page scrapbook layout & 8 cards (2 each of 4 designs).

The technique for the scrapbook page was to create our own Designer Series Paper by stamping a pattern on to cardstock. We used Sahara Sand 12x12 Cardstock for our background, Blushing Bride, Concord Crush & Certainly Celery Cardstock. We created distressed flowers with the Large Scallop Circle Punch & Antique Brads. We stamped Certainly Celery & Blushing Bride Cardstock with the Artistic Etchings Stamp set & punched 1” circles from the Blushing Bride for accents. We tore the ends of our cardstock to create a distressed “tag” look.

For this card we did double embossing. We had a Real Red Card & Real Red Pinking Hearts Border Punch Accent. We embossed Blushing Bride with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder in the Big Shot then Brayered the cardstock with Craft Basic Black Ink, covered in Black Embossing Powder & Heat Embossed. We used the Tagtastic Hostess Stamp Set with Classic Real Red Ink & punched with the Curly Label Punch. We punched Real Red Hearts with the Large Heart Punch & Heart-to-Heart Punch.

Here we used a Whisper White Card, Regal Rose Cardstock mat & Watercolor Paper. We stamped using the Friends Furever Stamp Set on Watercolor Paper with Stazon Ink. We used to Aqua Painter, Regal Rose Classic Ink & Basic Black Classic Ink to color the dog & chair. We accented with Early Espresso Quilted Ribbon & Rhinestone Jewel Accents.

This card with quilted. We had a Very Vanilla Card & used strips of Timeless Portrait Designer Series Paper to create a quilting effect. We glued the strips to scrap paper, ran thru the Big Shot with the Top Note Die, then embossed with the Lattice Embossing Folder in the Big Shot. We used the Forever Young Stamp Set on Very Vanilla Cardstock matted with Cherry Cobbler Cardstock punched with the Rounded Corner Punch. We added a sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set & accented with Timeless Portrait Designer Fabric.

This card was done with an emboss resist technique. We used a Sahara Sand Card & Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper. We stamped on the paper with the Sweet Floral Stamp with Versa Mark Ink. We used Clear Embossing Powder to Heat Emboss the image. We then used Craft Chocolate Chip ink and brayed over the entire image & DSP, then wiped off the excess to reveal the image. We accented with Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon & Pearl Jewel Accents.
