Semi-Cinnamon Rolls

On Christmas Eve, I was bound & determined to mark off #3 on the Plus list, make homemade cinnamon rolls. I completed the first steps, then waited for the yeast to activate. And I waited, and waited, and waited. [They were supposed to rise within 30 minutes] Nothing happened. I wanted to throw them out, and start over. But I went ahead and continued on to the next step. I flattened out the dough, added the butter, sugar & cinnamon, rolled them up & cut my cinnamon rolls. I placed them in their greased round pan, and began baking them. And magically, they began rising!! [In the earlier rising process I didn't let the dough get warm enough to activate the yeast, so once in the oven they rose] After 25 minutes or so they were done baking! Mom helped me make homemade icing, and they were ready to eat!
They tasted like they were supposed to! I was so proud!

However, they needed a bit more, ok a lot more, cinnamon & sugar, and in my opinion butter. I love butter! So even though I've completed #3 on the Plus list, I'm going to make more & next time they won't be Semi-Cinnamon Rolls.
